Crisis Management

Meritis Crisis Management Services focus on disruptive events that threatens to harm the organization and its stakeholders. It involves a coordinated and systematic approach to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from a crisis. Effective crisis management requires advance planning, clear communication, quick decision-making, and collaboration among all relevant stakeholders.  Employee training and simulation of potential situations is one of our core competences. We aim to enable trainees to follow standard operating procedures in problem analysis and problem solving as part of the problem-solving process.

The decision-making process is a systematic approach to identify, analyse, and choose among alternative solutions to a problem or opportunity. The process typically involves the following steps:

  • Define the problem or opportunity – Clearly state the decision that needs to be made.
  • Gather information – Collect data, facts, and opinions to help understand the situation and identify possible options.
  • Identify alternatives – Generate a list of potential courses of action.
  • Evaluate alternatives – Analyse each option based on relevant criteria, such as cost, feasibility, and impact.
  • Make a choice – Select the option that best meets the criteria and aligns with the organization’s goals and values.
  • Implement the decision – Put the chosen option into action.
  • Monitor and evaluate – Continuously monitor the situation and evaluate the results of the decision to identify areas for improvement.

This decision-making process can be formal or informal, depending on the situation and the level of risk involved. In complex or high-stakes situations, a more structured and systematic approach may be necessary to ensure that all relevant factors are considered, and the best decision is made.
